About Me
I qualified as a Chartered Psychologist 25 years ago. I am a HCPC (see below) Counselling Psychologist and BABCP accredited CBT supervisor and therapist. I spent most of my career working within the NHS in the UK, with my last role being Consultant Psychologist in Organisational Development and Workforce Wellness for a large NHS acute hospital and community Trust.
I have over 20 years experience working in the NHS, being involved in clinical practice, senior leadership, training and research in a range of settings including primary care, community mental health, acute physical and mental health, corporate wellbeing and liaison psychiatry.
My experience of working in voluntary sector organisations includes overseas NGOs and UK based charities, predominantly working with the impact of extreme and complex trauma supporting capacity building across multiple systems. I have experience of delivering postgraduate training, and was a Senior Lecturer on Counselling Psychology DPsych programmes and Course Director for an MSc in CBT.
